It was
finally time to say good-bye, bid farewell and sail away. This is the hardest part of our journey…the
goodbyes.
It is an understatement to say
that what has made this adventure over the past decade so amazing are the
friends we have met and made for life.
We have seen unbelievable scenery, visited places far off the beaten
path and had the undeniable pleasure of spending time in some of the most isolated
and beautiful places on the planet…but what really stands out in our minds, are
the people.
The gracious hospitably,
warm open hearts, friendly spirits that have welcomed us as our stars spun into
their galaxy. We consider each new friend a gift and we cherish and hold dear. However, thru ought this past 10 years, there have been a handful extraordinary in their goodness to us.
Kevin and Annabella are two of those very rare and unique individuals
who brought us into their lives, their homes and hearts and made us
family. We will never forget their
kindness. We grew to appreciate and love
them.
On our last
evening together, according to custom, they gave
each of us a Black pearl necklace, a reminder of our time spent and open
invitation to return to their home, their heart and their Island.
With very mixed feelings we said our final farewell,
not goodbyes, but knowing in our hearts, that as it is for so many we have met
along the journey, it may be in the next world when we meet again.
