While still
in Australia, we had arranged to purchase our own Mini Van, (or as we called
it, our tiny tin tent) with a guaranteed buyback from Kiwi Road Trips
(info@kiwiroadtrips.nz) in Tauranga.
This is a family owned and operated business run by Pete and Karen
Cossey. They were pleasant and easy to
deal with and made the process as uncomplicated as possible, especially at the
end when our road trip was over. All we
had to do was bring it back, lock the door and leave the keys. From the start Pete and Karen made it all
easy and convenient. Picking up from
the bus terminal, taking us to get insurance, making sure the tank was full of
gas and providing a couple of little extras to make us more comfortable…it was
a pleasure.
Having our own home away from home allowed us the freedom to come and go
and see this beautiful country at our own pace, without worrying about a daily
schedule of having to be somewhere in time to find accommodations for the night. For us this was a no brainer.
