Sorong to
Seget Nov 2 2019
We set sail
at 8 am with a light NW breeze to carry us down the river to our staging
overnight anchorage at Seget.
This is a
quiet place out of the main river current. There is very little traffic in this quiet tributary, the occasional local fishing boat is all you will see.
An excellent soft water protected anchorage, a great stopping place that even offers limited WiFi to check mail and local weather. Whether
traveling north to Sorong after an overnight-er or a 40 mile day run from Sorong, south down the river before embarking on a longer passage. The only codicil here is beware of the raging current...it would seem at first blush that you would want to enter from the south on a Flooding tide...in our experience it was just the opposite.
