KS passage from Vuda Point to Savu Savu

After dropping our good friend Patricia off in Denereau we returned to Musket Cove to stage our journey northward.  We enjoyed a week of relaxation and when all systems said ‘Go’ we departed for Saweni Bay to await a weather window around the top Viti Levu.  We departed Saweni the morning of Dec 6 under sunny skies and light winds.  As we neared the northwest corner of Viti Levu the winds picked up and of course were on the nose sending sea and spray across the bow.  We spent the night near Vatia Wharf in an unmarked anchorage with good holding and soft water.  The next morning we headed east motor sailing to Nananu-I-Cake Bay returning to the exact spot we had anchored 13 months prior on our passage from Savu Savu to Vuda Marina.  We spent a couple of pleasant days enjoying the snorkelling in the Bay and departed for Savu Savu the morning of Dec 9.

KS route from Savu Savu to Vuda Point and return via the Bligh

We elected to take the north route via Nananu passage across the Bligh water to Mbua Bay.  This was a spectacular day of sailing and we were rewarded as we crossed the reef with a 16 lb. Trevally our first fish since Oct 2014.  It was some might good eating!

           MMMMMMMmmmmMMMMMM - GOOOOOOOD!
